Drawing on two decades of experience in documentary production, my resume boasts over 100 hours of captivating content. Navigating the diverse landscapes of this field, I've taken on numerous producer roles, tackling the intricate challenges synonymous with documentary filmmaking.
For National Geographic's Explorer Series, I served as a field producer, embarking on shoots in countries like Chile, Spain, Zambia, Peru, India, U.S., Mexico, and Nicaragua and directing standups with the Emmy-winning host of The Amazing Race, Phil Keoghan. On Discovery's Everest Avalanche Tragedy, I produced and filmed the aftermath of a devastating avalanche in the Khumbu Ice Fall, documenting the impact of the 16 lives lost on the Sherpa community.
The next year at Everest Base Camp, an unforeseen turn of events unfolded during my own passion project, where I survived a 7.8 magnitude earthquake and then helped produce an NBC Dateline Special on the event. Three years later, I found myself 25 stories above the streets of Times Square, producing a segment with Nik Wallenda for the ABC event High Wire Live.
While I thrive in the roles of producer-director, I also contribute to larger productions in supporting capacities. In my most recent endeavor, the Photographer Series for National Geographic/Disney+, I showcased my technical and organizational prowess. Managing a team, I curated over 22,000 images from seven National Geographic photographers, developed intuitive libraries within Avid, and facilitated the licensing of 2,200 separate still/video clips. My meticulous attention to detail and adept negotiation skills allowed archive costs to come in under budget. Eager for new challenges, I am currently relishing the release of the Photographer Series after its SXSW Film Festival premiere and general release in March 2024.
Past projects have graced networks like National Geographic, NBC, ABC, FOX, Discovery Channel, PBS, Science Channel, Smithsonian Channel, ID Discovery, and History Channel. I am continuously seeking opportunities to develop and produce innovative projects.
